Continuous Attacks on Ukraine
The recent weeks have seen a relentless bombardment of the region by Russia, targeting not just the population but also the critical infrastructure. This drone strike is not an isolated incident. Earlier in the week, on Tuesday night, the small town of Hluhiv in the same region suffered another drone attack which claimed 12 lives, including a child.
Sumy’s Previous Rocket Attack
Prior to the drone strikes, the city of Sumy had also endured a rocket attack on Sunday evening. This resulted in the death of 11 people and injuries to 89 others. The attack also disrupted the city’s electricity supply, leaving the administrative center of the region in the dark.
These continuous attacks on Ukraine exemplify the escalating tensions in the region. As the situation continues to evolve, the international community closely watches the developments with growing concern.
